Our Theme for 2020 is "Building hope and confidence" - for 2021 it will be "Re-building hope and confidence", a most appropriate theme for the coming year, as so much will need to be done all over the world.

Whenever I feel afraid I - sing, hum, listen to: a little hymn.
Dear friends here are three hymn suggestions for settling our nerves and bringing GOD Father, Son and Holy Spirit into our thoughts.
1. I bind unto myself this day
The strong name of the Trinity
New English Hymnal 159; TiS 478; AHB 454; Hymns A&M Revised 162
2. He who would valiant be
‘Gainst all disaster
New English Hymnal 372; TiS 461; AHB 467
3. O God our help in ages past
Our hope in years to come
Our shelter from the stormy blast
And our eternal home.

AMUA ACTIVITIES AND COVID-19 – CORONA VIRUS
"... With regard to meetings, I ask you to think carefully about gathering in large groups. Ensure that you and your members follow the hygiene protocols advised by the Health Department. Use the ‘Thai bow’ to greet each other – hands in prayer position, slight bow – avoid greeting each other with hugs and kisses. This should also be applied during the ‘flu season in any year.
Isolation is necessary for those with the virus, and those who’ve been in contact with someone with the virus – this is unavoidable. But please be aware of isolation of people when meetings are cancelled. Make sure you keep in touch with each other by phone, email, notes, etc. Sometimes the MU meeting is all that people can go to, and to lose that contact can be depressing.
Please pray for the containment of this disease, for the health workers, for those infected, for those who have recovered. Also pray for the families of those who have lost their lives.
Above all, please use common sense. Panic helps no-one, but precautions can help everyone.
Love and peace,
13th March, 2020.

'Look Up' is a spoken word for the “online” generation. Written, performed and directed by Gary Turk, it is an extremely important life lesson for our youth. Children are growing up in a world where they don’t play outside or communicate with their friends. It seems today everything is done via text message or over the internet.
