FROM THE PROVINCIAL PRESIDENT
AMUA ACTIVITIES AND COVID-19 – CORONA VIRUS
"... With regard to meetings, I ask you to think carefully about gathering in large groups. Ensure that you and your members follow the hygiene protocols advised by the Health Department. Use the ‘Thai bow’ to greet each other – hands in prayer position, slight bow – avoid greeting each other with hugs and kisses. This should also be applied during the ‘flu season in any year.
Isolation is necessary for those with the virus, and those who’ve been in contact with someone with the virus – this is unavoidable. But please be aware of isolation of people when meetings are cancelled. Make sure you keep in touch with each other by phone, email, notes, etc. Sometimes the MU meeting is all that people can go to, and to lose that contact can be depressing.
Please pray for the containment of this disease, for the health workers, for those infected, for those who have recovered. Also pray for the families of those who have lost their lives.
Above all, please use common sense. Panic helps no-one, but precautions can help everyone.
Love and peace,
13th March, 2020.

'Look Up' is a spoken word for the “online” generation. Written, performed and directed by Gary Turk, it is an extremely important life lesson for our youth. Children are growing up in a world where they don’t play outside or communicate with their friends. It seems today everything is done via text message or over the internet.
May God enable us to become the people God calls us to be, and,
in everything we do, may our lives honour the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
May God inspire and move us to action
so that we fulfil God’s will in response to God’s amazing grace,
so freely given to the world. Amen
